Touchwood

We also operate a gallery of quality Tasmanian crafts, and three onsite bed and breakfast cottages.

Dip Falls & The Big Tree

A spectacular 2-tiered waterfall with a fantastic new viewing platform with wheelchair access. Nearby is "The Big Tree", a giant Eucalypt. This is a great spot for a picnic with BBQ's and toilets available.

West Inlet

A uniquely secluded lagoon with sandy beach on one side and pebbles the other. An ideal spot for safe swimming, fishing and relaxing in this tropical hideaway.

Dismal Swamp

Dismal Swamp is an intriguing eco-tourism experience developed by Forestry Tasmania and set in the evocative surrounds of a giant blackwood sinkhole. It features a thrilling 110-metre slide down to the swamp-floor, a series of "maze-like" paths and fascinating art installations inspired by the swamp ecology.

Arthur River Cruises

Arthur River cruises depart from near the mouth for a leisurly cruise up the river which winds its way through pictureque rainforests. Morning tea and BBQ lunch are included.

Gardens and Rainforest

Allendale Gardens boasts five acres of beautiful gardens and 65 acres of rainforest to enjoy. Devonshire Tearooms are located on the grounds and are open daily during peak tourist season.

Open Dairy

Lacrum Dairy is a large dairy farm milking over 500 cows daily. The dairy is open for viewing and cheese tasting.

Woolnorth Wind Farm

Part of Tasmania's clean energy comes from the Woolnorth Wind farm, which is also the states largest pastoral farm.

Seashell Beaches

A large selection of the finest seashells can be collected on Seven Mile Beach - a lovely way to spend a couple of hours strolling along one of Tasmania's finest beaches.

Waterwheel Creek

A new tourist attraction featuring Tasmania's only working example of a timber tram-way. Also includes an accessible forest walk rich in giant man-ferns and magnificent trees, an indoor heritage museum show-casing restored pioneer machinery, and a café serving a range of food and drinks.

Coral Reefs & Scuba Diving

Get along to Rocky Cape National Park where the coral reefs and sea life rival that of the Great Barrier Reef. There are a number of sites where snorkelling and scuba diving are recommended.
